Spectra was born in 1978 and resided in Weymouth, Massachusetts. They were formed as the result of a merger of St. Francis Sancians and some Pembroke Imperials members. The corps finished 39th in DCI Prelims in 1978, and 30th in 1979. In 1980, Spectra and the Heightsmen (from Arlington, Massachusetts) merged to become the Spectra-Heightsmen Alliance of Weymouth and Arlington.
