In 1967 at the World Open, Lynn, Massachusetts, the I.C. Queensmen placed 11th in the prelims and placed 11th in the finals. This was a first for the corps. In 1968 at "Drums in the Night" contest in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, we were recorded by Fleetwood Records for the first time, along with Boston, St Mary's, and 27th. For many years, Danny Holland was the Drum Major of the Queensmen. When he aged out, the corps gave me the great honor of being the Drum Major in 1968.
