In 1995, the New York Skyliners Alumni Association organized an alumni corps. Its commitment was to carry on the music of Hy Dreitzer, and to have fun. Led by director Scott Yaniga, the New York Skyliners Alumni Corps brings the Skyliner sound to local parades and events, and has been a major factor in the recent alumni corps explosion.

The corps made its first field appearance on July 18, 1998, in Clifton, New jersey. Although the alumni corps was formed in 1994 and has performed in many parades and indoor standstills, the Clifton show was their first outdoor exhibition at a drum corps show.

Alumni associations continue to grow in membership and enthusiasm, and have allowed many Skyliners to once again feel the joy and camaraderie that they experienced during a very special time in their lives.
