De La Salle Oakland Crusaders Alumni Brass Ensemble was established in 2005 and usually has 30 active members at any given performance, although there have been many dozens of members from the various Toronto drum corps that sit in occasionally. We welcome anybody, any age, any brass instrument or drummer but not woodwinds etc. We rehearse at De La Salle College's Music Building and maintain our close connection with the school.
Several of our guys help with our original arrangements. Because of our unique instrumentation and playing style, we only play our own music. Some were Del's arrangers back in the 1970's. We play everything from Maynard Ferguson's "MacArthur Park" to Tower of Power's "You're Still a Young Man" and Stan Kenton's "Malaga" and "God Save the Queen".
