"Sundowners 1980 will be bringing new sounds and excitement to the competition field. A complete new staff of instructors with the 80 member unit. The average age of the corps is 16 years with all members from the Eau Claire area.
1979 found the Sundowners competing in 22 contests and making a total 48 appearances with parades and exhibition requests. They also placed in finals at VFW National Competition. 1979 found the corps for the first time at DCI class "A" competition.
1980 will find the corps playing favorites such as Image of Maria, Eb Miltare Suite and excerpts of Sousa Marches.
